為了更深入地學習和了解中西方傳統節日的文化，進一步激發我院學生的英語學習興趣，4月8日，我院英語社團在教學樓318教室開展了主題為Culture at home and abroad的活動。劉佳利老師全程參與并指導本次活動。
活動現場，同學們爭先恐后地回答有關傳統節日的各種題目，氣氛極其活躍，大家在活動中能把英語課上學到的有關于傳統節日的知識靈活展現而各盡風采。
下面小英對活動中提到的幾個節日做一個簡單的介紹吧！
Spring Festival is celebrated in China and many other Asian countries, commonly known as "Chinese New Year". It is a time for family reunion and people will have a big dinner with some traditional good luck foods like fish and dumplings on Chinese New Year’s Eve .
The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It is a traditional festival to commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. The indispensable traditions on this day include eating zongzi, dragon boat race and drinking realgar wine.
Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday of November every year. In America, Thanksgiving is a holiday for family reunion. On Thanksgiving Day, American people will prepare and share Thanksgiving feast with their family and friends at home. Turkey is the traditional food.
同學們分兩組開展了與以上節日相關的問答活動：
1.為慶祝春節你們家里都做了哪些準備 ？
2.春節在其他國家也流行嗎 ？
3.今年是什么年呢？帥哥靚女生于何年？
4.除夕夜你們都在做什么？
5.中西方節日共同特點是什么？
兩組的同學認真思考，踴躍回答，對東西方幾個重要傳統節日有了更深的認識和理解。
記得來時路，不忘夢歸處。傳統節日的形成，是一個民族歷史文化長期積淀的結果。從流傳至今的傳統節日習俗里，后人不但可以看到古人生活的精彩畫面，感受到傳統文化的無窮魅力，進一步提升民族文化認同感，從而不迷失方向，讓前行的腳步更加篤定。
